MONA MUR,  exzentrische Sängerin  härterer Wave – Balladen, zeichnete in den 80er Jahren gemeinsam mit FM Einheit, Alexander Hacke und Mark Chung  von den “Einstürzenden Neubauten” für Undergroundhits wie “Snake”, ,120 Tage“   oder “Eintagsfliegen” verantwortlich.  Vor allem ihre brachiale Version von Brecht/Weill’s  “Surabaya Johnny” in “breitem Sound düsterster Schattierung” und  die manisch-exzessiven Liveauftriite machten die Künstlerin in   internationalen Postpunk/ Elektro/Industrial /Avantgardekreisen bekannt und begründeten ihren bis heute gültigen Kultstatus.

Mur, auch erfolgreiche Kampfsportlerin und Komponistin für Computergames (BALLANCE, VELVET ASSASSIN), erlebt nun eine Renaissance, ihre Songs in Filmen wie Fatih Akin’s  “Gegen die Wand”  – und sich selbst auf der Bühne:

mit EN ESCH, bekannt als charismatischer Frontmann und Mitbegründer der deutsch/amerikanischen Elektro-Rocker KMFDM. Der Multiinstrumentalist und Producer hat sich ihrer Songs von Liebe, Tod, Wahnsinn, Schmerz und Schönheit mit einem eigenständigen elektronischen Drum/Bass-Instrumentarium angenähert.  Live spielt er dazu Feedback-Gitarre, die letzte Buße fordert.

MONA MUR, extravagant vocalist and composer, has gained her  reputation in the international music scene collaborating with artists such as “Einstürzende Neubauten”,  “The Stranglers”, “Yello” and  and the  Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra. Featuring a violently orchestral sound of darkest shades, her concerts in manic intensity and morbid slowbeat-chic were  foundation stones for her cult image until today.

Mur, also a successful martial artist (3^rd DAN Taekwondo) and composer for video games, (BALLANCE, VELVET ASSASSIN, CULPA INNATA II) is one of the few german singers creating her own dark, mysterious, aggressive but beautiful musical world exploring the fields of  electronic industrial, wave, postpunk  and a hefty german chanson “cabaret” tradition à la Brecht/Weill.  Director Fatih Akin chose three of her tracks for his worldwide awarded movie “Head On/Gegen die Wand” (Berlin Golden Bear 2004)

On the CD “120 Days – The Fine Art of Beauty and Violence” (PALE MUSIC Int. 2/2009) Mona Mur is collaborating with EN ESCH, the striking front man and talented guitarist who once formed the basis of the german/US electro-industrial outfit KMFDM and now enjoys a cult-hero status in his larger-than-life stage persona. Together with Mur the accomplished multiinstrumentalist and producer has drastically transformed her most intense 80s Songs into a unique blend of electronic drum loops, bass, dirty organ and wreckless feedback guitars. 4 brandnew tracks mark the new way of this Liaison Dangereux. Live they are accompanied by drummer Johann Bley (Juno Reactor, Killing Joke, Holger Hiller)

The much awaited sequel of the successful PC – Adventure by MOMENTUM DMT features „120 Dnyey“  as an ingame – scene and is expected in fall 2009. The clip  was featured in May in the  Russian Games-Magazin IGROMANIA.
